I'm running the ntop package ntop-3.2-1.2.fc6.rf on Fedora Core 6.
It all works good if I run it from the command line

ntop @/etc/ntop.conf

But as soon as I run it as a daemon, it will not load the plugins.

ntop -d @/etc/ntop.conf

A non-daemon run loads plugins and you see the messages:

Loading Plugins
Searching for plugins in /usr/lib/ntop/plugins
LASTSEEN: Welcome to Host Last Seen. (C) 1999 by Andrea Marangoni

etc

but when you run it -d you only get:

Loading Plugins
Feb 9 12:57:08 gw ntop[13536]: Searching for plugins in ./plugins
        (NOTICE THE DIFFERENT SEARCH DIRECTORY)
Feb 9 12:57:08 gw ntop[13536]: Calling plugin start functions (if any)

And the web interface confirms that there is no plugins available.

I've even
cd /usr/lib/ntop
ntop -d @/etc/ntop.conf
so that ./plugins will be /usr/lib/ntop/plugins, but it still does not work

The process runs as user ntop when running both ways and /usr/lib/ntop/plugins
is owned by ntop so it does not seem to be a security issue.

Any ideas?
