Hi Michael,
I'm just taking a stab in the dark here since you haven't given any
details about your setup...
I'd guess that you've got ntop running on a linux box, possibly in
promiscuous mode, plugged into a switch.
And because you're monitoring it, via it's web interface, from another
PC, you're generating traffic to/from the web interface port.
And because the ntop machine is plugged into a switch, it only ever
see's it's own traffic (arp/broadcast excepting).
It sounds like you need set the switch on the port to be spanning the
ones you actually want to monitor, or put ntop inline, or learn about
netflow type feeds.
Hopefully that gives you some starting points...
And if you're still stuck, try reading some of the documentation...
you'd be surprised how helpful it is.

Good Day everybody;
i have successfully installed ntop ; but actually when checking
for which host is consuming more BW i see that the machine where NTOP is
installed is the most machine have larg number of Bytes consumed through
the network ; i have disabled IPv6 on the linux box and also restricting
some services to come up .
when issuing the command "netstat" on NTOP linux box i see most
connx are on the port where the NTOP Web-server.
can anyone help plz as i want to have clear figure is that
normal or ..?
