Is it (ntop) crashing and restarting? Are you using the rrd files and
if so at what level of detail?

You can check out the options --disable-instantsessionpurge and
--sticky-hosts and maybe play with the defaults in globals-defines.h

Subject: [Ntop] Keeping Stats from being reset?

Hi, i have been using ntop-xtra for a while for windows. Its ntop 3.2.
I havent gotten around to setting ntop up on a linux box yet, but i know
i should.

Basically i am using it with netflow, i have a router than send it
netflow on port 2055 and it all works fine for a couple years now. But
what i have realized is that although the stats are cumulative for main
info like total packets/total bytes, etc. it seems to erase the
detailed stats every hour or so. When i go to activity the chart is
never full, it only always shows the last hour. Plus I will have like
10gb of total transfer but my individual hosts show low amounts and only
add up to 10 - 100mb. Is ntop deleting detailed stats every hour by
default or something? How do i get it to stay up longer? thanks
everyone.

Mike
