the documentation is scarce you're right. As soon as I will find some  
time I'll try to write some. In general applic latency is the time  
that passed between the first packet a client has sent and the first  
response packet. This after the 3-way handshake (in case of TCP).  
Example: if you use http, it measures the time spent from http/get to  
the first response packet. For DNS it's working the same way.  
Fingerprint is exactly the same as in ntop
