-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hello all!
I'm newbie to ntop, but so far it's being a very good tool to monitor our network. We expect to run it for long term, capturing only traffic to external link (already done by pcap filters), but some days ago data has been reset and got loss, although ntop still runs. I guess it crashed somehow, but not ntop itself. I'm using -bdLoz options plus -B with filter and -m with local subnets. So, in order to prevent this and to to store long time statistics, I would like to save data to a MySQL database, but I don't find the way to accomplish that. Followed the instructions on docs/database/README.mySQL but I really can't find mySQLdefs.txt to create ntop database... either in installed version and svn. I'm using Gentoo and ntop-3.2-r3. If there is another solution besides MySQL storage I would like to know. Appreciate any help. Tanks in advance!
