Thanks all for your suggestions. It doesn't seem to do it consistently, but Summary -> Traffic loads, but all the RRD graphs get "connection reset" or "Unable to connect". Turning off the RRD plugin produces the same.
Nothing unexpected in the log - the only warnings are about MySQL (which I'm not using), and unable to open the fingerprint and AS info files (again, not using). Tried upgrading winPcap to 4.1beta4, no change. Tried changing to a run as a local admin, no change. Tried running from command line, no change, no error messages. For now, I'll just leave it as it is - the data I need is correct, and doesn't crash it. Knew I should have spent the time building an Ubuntu box for this. :) Rgds, - I. -- Ian Henderson, CCIE #14721 Senior Network Engineer, iiNet Limited From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Fabio Pintus Sent: Tuesday, 5 August 2008 11:12 PM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [Ntop] Crashes under Windows 2003 Hi Ian, I have 2 questions for you: 1- ntop crash after a particular user action on the web-interface of ntop? 2- if you see the ntop log in your Win2003 machine (http://$YourMachine:3000/viewLog.html), do you see some strange error during ntop initialization? Fabio 2008/8/5 Ian Henderson <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Hi all, I've just installed the purchased ntop for Win32 version 3.3.6 on an IBM x3650 with Window 2003 SP2, winPcap 4.0.2. Am facing a large number of crashes with the following in the event log: Faulting application ntop.exe, version 0.0.0.0, faulting module ntop.exe, version 0.0.0.0, fault address 0x0001c5a0. I've seen a few posts about this, but can't find an answer. Ran 'ntop /c /K', but there are no debug entries at the time of the crash - it just exists. Any suggestions? Thanks, - I. _______________________________________________ Ntop mailing list [email protected] http://listgateway.unipi.it/mailman/listinfo/ntop _______________________________________________ Ntop mailing list [email protected] http://listgateway.unipi.it/mailman/listinfo/ntop
