Hi,

I keep seeing the following error in my ntop log,

Mar 31 11:37:02 XXXX ntop[4145]: MAC prefix '00:1A:8F' not found in
vendor database

This is a Nortel device. When I grep through oui.txt.gz I see the entry:

# zgrep 1A-8F oui.txt.gz
00-1A-8F (hex) Nortel

I recently rebuilt the oui.txt file using the commands found in the makefile.

  744 wget -c http://standards.ieee.org/regauth/oui/oui.txt
  745 rm oui.txt.gz
  746 gzip oui.txt

# ls -lAF oui.txt.gz
-rw-r--r-- 1 root staff 596111 2009-03-31 00:30 oui.txt.gz

I am running ntop as an unprivileged user.

  From my log:
