I have the same prob from 3.3.10 (latest on SVN) on FreeBSD.  Just got
it compiled and running and same symptoms.  I'll try a completely new
directory for ntop data and see what happens.

Also keep getting this error when ntop is running:

[warn] kevent: Bad file descriptor

Not sure if they're related - prolly not.  I'll start the research on
that in a few.
