Hello,
I just installed a Debian lenny on a workstation for tests on several
monitoring software. And since I lack some experience in installing software
by compiling sources, I come to ask you some little explanation.
I tried to follow step by step the install file you packed with the sources
but it seams i can't use "./configure" in the source directory.
for more information :
i downloaded the "ntop-3.3.10.tar.gz" file from your website. i unpacked it
with the UI of the archive manager in "/home/user/Desktop/".
i opened a shell then made the 'cd' command to go to this directory
("/home/user/Desktop/ntop-3.3.10") and tried "./configure" but it didn't
work i also tried "sh ./configure"
the shell displays that there is "no such file or directory". i tried with
the 'sudo' command too but it is the same.
now, since i don't have any clue to what to do, can you tell me step by step
what must be done to have a proper installation please ?
i look forward to it
best regards.
