Is the interace on the host usb? If so the you can't capture ethernet framed 
traffic there, unless your doing something goofy with virtual interfaces.

Pf_ring has many requirements and I'm certain you don't need it for the low 
throughput of 3G. Stick with libpcap and make sure all your drivers are current.

Lastly, maybe get off of usb and use an ethernet port to a 3G router. Maybe 
Luca has some ideas, cause I'm out!
