Does the account have the "log on as a service" right? Sent from my (new!) BlackBerry, which may make me an antiques dealer, but it's reliable as hell for email delivery :-) ________________________________ From: Jimmy Tran <[email protected]> Sender: [email protected] Date: Mon, 3 Mar 2014 21:16:29 +0000 To: [email protected]<[email protected]> ReplyTo: [email protected] Subject: [NTSysADM] sql service not "saving" password I have a server running mssql on Server 2003 Standard and every time it reboots, the sql server service cannot start because the login credentials are incorrect. When I update the logon credentials for the service, it starts back up. Once the server is rebooted again, the cycle repeats itself. I don't see any errors in the logs regarding the service unable to start up. Google-fu is not getting me anywhere close. Has anyone experienced this? Thanks, jimmy
