Once failed, the GBIC's do not work- we swapped them all over. We cleaned all connections and have patch cable replacements on order. They did give us a copy of the certification report- it looks clean. The only reason we put in the 1 GB gbic's is because we don't have 10 GB's spares anymore. I am worried that the 1 GB's will fail too in a week or so.
