Sounds like a problem I was having with our Exchange server awhile back due to low virtual memory. What does the event log tell you? Our problem was related to GroupShield, so I uninstalled it and replaced with Antigen :o)

Interesting.  Just for grins: what happens when you right-click the "desktop?"  What is the wallpaper or background right now?

Hello, I am having an interesting problem on NT 4.0 SP6a machine. I can
not click icons on the desktop using the mouse. I can tap trough using
keyboard and access them, but mouse click doesn't work. I can, however,
use mouse clicks on Start menus. Mouse click just would not work on
desktop icons. Also, it won't work on newly created icons, neither.
Anyone seen this behavior before??

Thanks.
Myung
