Nope, no printing at all, spooler service is disabled, purely exchange and file shares.

Nope, sorry forget to say, checked technet and all 3 articles I found didn't apply....

 

There's nothing either side of these errors that indicate any other problem. I figured the RPC server being unavailable is why any netbios requests fail where purely IP succeeds but don't know why RPC is failing...

The few articles found on TechNet seem to be related to the spooler. Is this a print server? Any HP JetDirect devices by any chance? Error 1722 means "The RPC server is unavailable."

Anybody come accross this error before in the system event log.

EventID = 2510
Source = Server
Category = none
User = N/A
Description = The server service was unable to map error code 1722.

Server is Compaq proliant quad processor 1Gb RAM and 250Gb of attached storage.
Disk space has lots available.

Server is NT4 SP6a running Exchange5.5 SP4 and MSCS although it is the only node in the cluster.

As a result of the error, the server is pingable but does not respond to either exchange request or requests for file services.
