Well, if no one opens an infected email or does not go to an infected web site, yes. Otherwise no.

The tool and the updates remove or quarentine the infected files but does it stop the virus from coming back?

Yes, this a glitch with Norton AV. The virus was either deleted or quarantined but keeps showing up on the console. I have spent alot of time in Symantec's Knowledgebase on that. They have confirmed the problem and assured me that the virus was removed.

I'm running NT and have rebuilt the server and I am running Norton corporate edition and now I'm getting virus' found on the server itself again.  Nothing like chasing your tail.

This w2k server SP1 got the Nimba virus,  thought I got rid of it but, when I do a backup it says the virus is still in the computer,  I do a Norton virus scan and Norton says that there are no viruses???  I know what is going to have to happen I'm going to have to reinstall, but just seeing if anyone has had this problem.

Thanks Beldon
