I've been doing some thinking. I work a lot with hardware failures and one the most least thought of is hardware failure due to a processor or memory bug. I've worked on boxes I couldn't get to connect to network though the nic was found, installed and worked ok - all it could get was the std 169... address. Replacing the cpu cured it twice. Other hardware related prob have succesfully been cured this way. Don't know if this is the problem but cpu is the heart :-) right ?

I now has checked Veritas, there is no patch that relates to my problem. There is nothing in the eventlog except from that the computer has restartet from a "bugcheck". I don't think it is a file request that causes it, the backup starts with the C-drive, and as mentioned, I have other servers that is with the same hardware, and the same software installation, and they don't have the problem. -I has done a chkdsk on the c-drive, nothing wrong. Maybe I should try to escalate it at Veritas... ____________________________________________ Jan Pedersen -----Oprindelig meddelelse----- Fra: Frede Hundewadt [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sendt: 26. september 2001 15:45 Til: NT System Admin Issues Emne: RE: W2k server reboots OK As mentioned - you might need to look for at patch or upgrade to your backup software. I'm sure you have examined your event log to see what is causing the reboot ? It's prob a file request that cause the box to reboot thou I cant figure out why Frede -----Original Message----- From: Jan Pedersen [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Wednesday, September 26, 2001 11:56 AM To: NT System Admin Issues Subject: SV: W2k server reboots Hi!
