To try and get back on point. I had this problem and was not the drivers. Another posting said it first, and it's true, the drivers that come with the OS are from the manufacturers. My problem was what you'd expect, a bad CD. I can't remember if I got a new one, or was able the clean the errant one. Remember, when you hear hoofs think horses, not zebras.

RAM could also be a problem, has this system had another problem free OS on it?
