I just saw the requirements for Direct Access is the PC must be running Windows 7 Enterprise or Ultimate, and it also has to be a member of the domain.
Neither of those requirements works for us... Need something that works cross platform on both Mac and PC. I do NOT want to open up VPN for hundreds of users, especially when I cannot guarnatee the machines they're using are not full of viruses, etc. (don't even get me started on a NAC solution, pfft, lol). Webdav is pretty close to what I'm looking for but... wondering if there are better alternatives. JR Original Message: ----------------- From: Michael B. I'd check out Dave/Thursby. Sorry, I don't provide primary Mac support anywhere. Regards, Michael B. But WebDAV is still supported in IIS 7.x. It just isn't enabled by default. Regards, Michael B. It's been adequate, but we have many people now switching over to Macs at home and I'm not sure WebDav works properly with Macs in as it relates to opening a Web Folder. Are there NEWER Microsoft technologies that make WebDav a thing of the past? Is Sharepoint the preferred mechanism now? What about SSL FTP? Just looking to provide a method for hundreds of remote users to access their Home Folders and one other network location from home. Input/feedback welcome.
