Same way I learn 90% of what little I know. This list. We are using it here for a couple systems that were put in service and later retired. If at all possible, use DFS name spaces in the future. It makes replacing file share servers a non issue. With DFS, your share names become \\domain\share<file:///\\domain\share> name. Notice no server name there. In DFS mgt, the share name points to the server or multiple replicated servers. So when you replace/upgrade a server, copy the data to the new server, update the DFS pointer and no one even notices.
