Sorry to push SCCM into another thread, but ConfigMgr 2012 will have a bit more granular control over iPhones, without wiping them completely.

I think this user was disabled in AD at about 4pm, and the last email we got from the user's phone was around 8am the next morning. iPhone setup with EAS and we have Exchange 2007.
