Wanted to see what others thoughts on this issue are. So SamAccountName is limited to 20 characters and UPN is limited to 64. In our environment the standard is to have both be the same (i.e. )
jdoe j...@acme.com I've found a few accounts that don't follow this convention (i.e. ) jdoe jdoeserviceaccount.acme....@acme.com All of these are service accounts and are not used to logon interactively. As far as I know there are no current issues with these accounts. Just wondering if anyone is monitoring this sort of thing for compliance and going back and modifying them so they adhere to the company standard naming convention. For us it is a very small number (~50). Is it worth the effort?
