I believe I have everyone talked out of the entire idea of "in house" hosting. As it turns out, this came up only because one client had a desire to use a particular template that just doesn't work on a Windows based web server. It looks like that one client's site will be hosted elsewhere.
I still want to learn more about Linux, but I'm also sort of waiting until we decide which 'flavor' we'll be using. I'd take raspberry over lemon though myself.
