Since rewiring the fans isn't an option (can't really void the warranty) it looks like my approach is going to be placing them at the very top of the rack and mounting some fans to pull air through the top of the rack itself. That plus a blanking panel on the front of the rack should at least keep hot air from being vented into the cold isle.

However, that creates an airflow issue since now our switches will be exhausting hot air into the cold isle. Do the EX3200's generate enough heat for it to even matter? Does anyone know of a good way to redirect the airflow of these switches from front-to-back to back-to-front? I suppose you could take the power supply apart and manually turn the fan around. This would be labor-intensive and likely warranty-voiding, though. -- Ben ~ Finally, powerful endpoint security that ISN'T a resource hog! ~ ~ <http://www.sunbeltsoftware.com/Business/VIPRE-Enterprise/> ~ --- To manage subscriptions click here: http://lyris.sunbelt-software.com/read/my_forums/ or send an email to listmana...@lyris.sunbeltsoftware.com<mailto:listmana...@lyris.sunbeltsoftware.com> with the body: unsubscribe ntsysadmin ~ Finally, powerful endpoint security that ISN'T a resource hog! ~ ~ <http://www.sunbeltsoftware.com/Business/VIPRE-Enterprise/> ~ --- To manage subscriptions click here: http://lyris.sunbelt-software.com/read/my_forums/ or send an email to listmana...@lyris.sunbeltsoftware.com<mailto:listmana...@lyris.sunbeltsoftware.com> with the body: unsubscribe ntsysadmin ~ Finally, powerful endpoint security that ISN'T a resource hog! ~ ~ <http://www.sunbeltsoftware.com/Business/VIPRE-Enterprise/> ~ --- To manage subscriptions click here: http://lyris.sunbelt-software.com/read/my_forums/ or send an email to listmana...@lyris.sunbeltsoftware.com with the body: unsubscribe ntsysadmin
