Gosh, been following this thread closely, must say Im very eager to give a Windows Phone another go now.
First of all, any online emulators? That would answer a gazillion questions I and others have. I know with Android you can download a SDK and run the OS in a virtual machine. Anything similar? So heres my main question: Im very accustomed to accessing all my important information at a quick glance on my lockscreen (without even unlocking my phone). Just a quick tap of the power button I can view: Outside temp Forecast Upcoming meetings / calendar Unread email/SMS count Battery level And with one gesture I can read all my notifications. There are many other options too. Pretty much anything you can put in a widget, you can access. And I havent even had to unlock my phone yet Can this quick visibility also be easily achieved on a Win8 phone? If so, Id seriously consider it. Android is usually accurate within a half block, WP8 puts me right where I am, but that is me in this city so YMMV. Driving directions have been basically the same, and I must admit to never having tried the traffic part of the maps app since there is no traffic to speak of in Tulsa so I never have to worry about avoiding it.
