First thing I would do is to verify it really is the GPO causing the issue. Dump one of the boxes into the computers OU and see if it still has the problem. If it doesn't its definitely the GPO causing the issue. If not look elsewhere for the problem.
Also what does RSOP show on the box after you place the new GPO on it?
