I did see that and then wondered if 2.0 is installed on all systems and couldn’t find an answer. Windows 7 comes with .NET 3.5 OOB and my system also has 2.0. Is that the case with all Windows 7 systems? i.e. Is it sufficient to do a check for 2.0 or do I need to check for all versions from 2.0 onward? I have a VBScript which calls an .exe in order to install something. We created the VBScript in order to run the .exe with elevated privileges as well as send us an email each time it’s run reporting success or failure. We’ve discovered that if users don’t have .NET Framework version 2.0 or greater, the install fails. Is it possible for the VBScript to check if version 2.0 or greater is installed? If it’s not, I’ll then run the install.
