'light weight' in terms of resources? If so, then compared to Adobe
Acrobat Pro - yes; we went through a pretty exhaustive testing and
vetting process when looking at alternatives to Acrobat Pro for the
terminal server environment, and comparison of resource usage and
performance was one of the main criteria. Given that you're talking
about 50 systems and a user base which has become familiar with the
Adobe product, dl'ing the trial version and running it on several
systems for a while is worth it - it took us a while to get users
trained off of the Adobe way of doing things, but they've been satisfied
with the product ever since. YMMV...

Likewise - been using PDF Pro from Nuance for several years; also have
it deployed at several clients' and in a terminal server environment.
The only issue I have with them is their tech support system - clunky is
about the best description I can give; but then again, I've rarely had
need of it and when I have used it it's been for the terminal server
environment. That said, it works, does what it's supposed to and at a
fraction of the Adobe cost.

I've been using PDFCreator from Nunance
http://www.nuance.com/pdfconverter/
my needs are similar to yours and this does what I need at a much better
price.
