Well, I can tell you about driving. First, most of the vehicles of conveyance in China have 2 wheels. But seriously, there are a lot of cars. You need a Chinese Driver's License to drive in China, and the written test is in Chinese. My son has a driver and a van, so I never have need to drive. My daughter-in-law has a motor scooter. When we go to another city or country, we take taxis. BTW, my cellphone with a Chinese simcard worked on the Great Wall of China, 2.5 hours from Beijing!!!

I use Verizon. Works everywhere -- never had a dropped call, never had an instance where I couldn't get a signal.
