If its going straight into production, I wouldnt risk it.
Look at it this way: What does 2008 bring feature wise to an SQL/Altiris 
server? Not much as I doubt your leveraging any of the cool things '08 does 
across your existing infrastructure.

Just got a new dell server with 2003 on it.  Also have just gotten access to 
the server 2008 media and licenses.
This is going to be a MS SQL 2005 host for Altiris.
Anyone have and advice?  Should I stick with 03 or re-load the server with 08?
Any horror or success stories?
