MSI Studio was, in my opinion, the best MSI packager on the market even before ScriptLogic acquired it and they have made it even better. Once you have the MSI, Group Policy is the easiest way to distribute, but SCE/SCCM or a 3rd party product are preferable in that they give you the ability to report on success/failure of installs as well as the ability to uninstall when you want to upgrade or change products at a later date. It tends to be less expensive than Wise and InstallShield (Acresso) but with the same features. http://www.scriptlogic.com/products/DA_MSIStudio/ Rod Trent CEO, myITforum.com, Inc. <http://www.myitforum.com/> my <http://www.myitforum.com/forums/showprofile.asp?memId=7> myITforum.com Profile myITforum.com <http://www.linkedin.com/e/gis/78998/7D2EF632EC37> LinkedIn Group Join the Social <http://social.zune.net/member/rodtrent> my LinkedIn <http://www.linkedin.com/pub/0/b6b/849> <http://myitforum.com/cs2/blogs/rtrent/archive/2008/04/14/mms-2008-sold-out. aspx> MMS2008_SoldOUT MMS 2008 - Las Vegas April 28th - May 2nd 2008 myITforum.com Party <http://myitforum.com/cs2/blogs/rtrent/archive/2008/04/04/myitforum-com-part y-2008.aspx> BOOTH #235 From: Kelsay, Mark [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Wednesday, April 16, 2008 6:23 AM To: NT System Admin Issues Subject: MSI Creation and Distribution I am looking into a solution that will allow our developers to create MSI files and then allow our network team to distribute them to our website servers. An all-in-one package would be great but two products, one for creating the MSI file and one to distribute them would also work. So far I am looking at Wise Installation Studio 7.0 and it looks like it would suit us fine. I just wanted to run the idea past this most respected list for any other solutions that you might be using.
