>From my experience, I've found that on the offending machine when you
click on it in adsiedit there will be information in the right hand pane
whereas on "normal" machines the right-hand pane will be blank. You can
try deleting it from the left-hand pane, I've always been able to do so.
I'm sure others will have better ideas if this doesn't work

Okay, I've only done that once, and that was with Microsoft tech support
walking me through it.

I've launched it, went under Domain, and went into the OU that contains
the user that I can't delete. I see "CN=[username]" for that account. Do
I just delete it from there?

Subject: Can't Delete User

I've got a user I can't seem to delete from Active Directory. When I try
to delete him, I get a dialog that says:

"Object is a container and contains other objects. Are you sure you want
to delete object and the objects it contains?"

So I click "Yes", and am promptly given a dialog box that says:

"The object (or some of the objects it contains) cannot be deleted
because access is denied."

Huh?
