Alas, it doesn't.

 

Here GParted Live gets half way through then bombs out with read errors
and every key shows up twice on the screen. Knoppix wont load as it
complains it cant find the CD (this is after booting from the CD). Tried
multiple CD's and DVD images from multiple sources, and have 15 dells
here and none of them work. 

 

Ubuntu just beeps loading while loading.
