Hi, We are a small shop with Windows and Mac OSX. I'm looking for a tool that could pull the license numbers installed in our machines for audit purposes.
Spiceworks claim to do this, but it doesn't work with Mac OSX (it hangs) and it doesn't retrieve many licenses from Windows. I'm using right now keyfinder and I'm developing a network logon script to send me at least the information of the Microsoft software installed in our Windows machines. Also Belarc is a nice tool. However I'm struggling to find a tool that gets most of our licenses in both types of platforms. I installed GLPI thinking that it gets that information, but It actually requires you to type it in by hand. It could work if we get all the licenses that we have, but the spreadsheet that we were using is outdated, which makes a nightmare to keep track of what is installed and on which machines. Thanks!
