You still have to have your own XP media and key unless your computer mfg will provide it. Lenovo has a downgrade program and for something like $10 they will send you the package with a key. I just got the wife and kids a new Dell PC and immediately downgraded it. Vista makes my children cry. You can use any XP product key that goes with the media you have on hand. If it won't activate, MS is supposed to approve the activation over the phone once you explain the downgrade situation. All that is pretty much laid out in the downgrade rights pdf file which is easily googled. Do downgrade rights apply to OEM Vista? If yes, where do you get valid XP keys?
