In Kaspersky you can choose whether to install the FW portion. I'm hoping that would be an option with Vipre as well, since I wouldn't install it on HQ computers behind all the firewalls but I would on a road warriors laptop. All manageable from the same dashboard. In an ideal world, that's what you would want, imho.

Don't go Norton 360 on us, please! I am very happy without Firewall protection in my AV. ________________________________ From: Jason Morris [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Tuesday, August 12, 2008 7:46 AM To: NT System Admin Issues Subject: RE: Evaluating AV - read this new VIPRE review Does anybody know when there will be a firewall product included in Vipre? I like the AV but we're looking to scrape out PCCillin too, not just our Trend. Do you know of anything comparing it to McAfee? I am evaluating McAfee Endpoint Security (full disk encryption) and since we already have McAfee Enterprise it will be tougher to moving away from McAfee since the same console that handles McAfee AV (McAfee ePO) also manages their enterprise encryption tool... It compares VIPRE with Symantec and Kaspersky, and does a performance shoot-out: http://blogs.zdnet.com/hardware/?p=2379&page=2 Warm regards, Stu ________________________________ From: Tom Miller [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Thursday, August 07, 2008 11:46 AM To: NT System Admin Issues Subject: Re: Evaluating AV Unlike Symantec Corporate.
