When what you're reading are repurposed out-of-print offerings where the
margin for converting them to a proper mobile format isn't there (i.e.
PDF is the only option), especially since layout is important to the
book....  Well, I'm still waiting for something to replace PDF.  It's
not the format that's the problem, it's the need to keep the original
layout.

Ditto on reading PDFs.  Neither the Kindle nor the Sony E-Readers have
given me a decent reading experience if the source is a PDF, especially
if there are an kind of graphics involved.
