Yeah, I have been, I mentioned it in a previous post... Also see Phil Brutsche's comments as he points out a good gothca. He mentions ACL's. However, I haven't had an ACL problem with it in probably 6 months.
I love it, and am expanding my use of it, now if I could just get it to replicate my Exchange database ;) Chain pasted below: >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Sam Cayze wrote: Indeed, it does. And it's happened to us. Fortunately for us, it's not production data, it's backup data, so ACL's don't really affect us. I just reassign permissions if I ever need to use the files for any restores. -----Original Message----- From: Phil Brutsche [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Monday, September 22, 2008 2:07 PM To: NT System Admin Issues Subject: Re: remote copying Just one not-so-little caveat to be aware of: rsync does a piss-poor job of duplicating Windows ACEs. In this case piss-poor means "it doesn't do it at ALL". It's one of those things that's been a dealbreaker at my office. This looks very tasty, and could possibly fit great with some custom scripted processes of mine.
