Hi All

I have a requirement been given to me today for a scheduling system for
tasks etc.

Requirement has been written as:

Functional requirements of the new system

The new system should not be confused with the project management system
and the main difference is that the schedule should aid task delivery on
an ongoing basis. Project will be continued to be used in project
working.

The scheduler system should enable activity to be recorded by required
date. Under each activity it should be able to:

* Record the resources needed to complete the
activity

* Record the date that the activity needs to be
completed

* Record the activity that needs to be
completed

* Attach copies of documents to the activity

*                          Provide a % compete tally

* Have an activity type category such as event,
data, print, system down-time activity

* Set a reminder system against each activity

In addition to this the system should be able to:

* Print out in calendar format showing the
different activity scheduled for a particular period

* This calendar should be able to filter by
activity type so that we can see patterns of different type of activity

* The calendar should be able to be exported to
support sending by email / posting onto other documents / systems

* Send reminders to resources when activity is
due if required

* Identify if an activity is late

* Be accessible by a number of different users
at the same time.

I have no experience of this type of software, does anybody out there
use anything like this?

I would assume that there would be about 50 users, and the system MUST
be compatible with CITRIX

Thanks

Laurence
