Maybe the option in the Redirected Folder GPO Config that says "Move existing
data to new location..."?

Subject: Redirected My Documents folder and roaming profiles

Hello,

In a client, we have roaming profiles set up, with the My Documents folder
redirected to the user´s area in the server. I don´t know if this happens
since the beginning, because the complaints just reached me.

What happens, and what I have been able to see, is that users log, receive the
roaming profile information, and the My Documents folder appears redirected, no
problem. Users can then create/delete files and folders in there.

But when this users logs off, the copy of the My Documents folder that is in
the locally cached copy of the profile is copied over the folder in the server.
So, the files they delete come back, and files they have moved into subfolders
appear again outside that folders.

I seem to remember that before, and in other places, with the redirected my
documents this folder was not copied along with the locally cached copy of the
profile.

So, what could I be forgetting to config ? Or what could have been changed to
start this behaviour?

Thanks for the help.

Silvio.
