We have a couple at our house where wireless would have been a lot of work and adding wall jacks wasn't a good option either. They are for our Tivo DVRs to connect up--My husband did all of the research and work on it, but it works pretty well for what we use it for. I would probably go with wireless first though if you can get a decent signal and speed. We put these probably about 2 or 3 years ago now.

Worked amazingly well, but both adapters had to be on the same circuit. So there's minimal placement flexibility. Wireless will probably cost less and have fewer issues. I was asked to set this up for someone, but I recommend using wireless since (1) I have ZERO experience setting up PLC and (2) there could be too many issues with electrical noise.
