Hmm - instead of trying random things in the hope that they fix the problem, I 
think you should follow the advice of others here in terms of trying to 
isolate/understand the problem first.

- Perhaps check that explorer.exe isn't crashing when it starts
- Perhaps try to see whether the problem occurs on a per-machine or per-user 
basis (e.g. does the problem follow a user around, does the problem occur for 
all users on a system etc)
