  P.S.: Here's how to to do it with Apache, since it is easy to
explain.  Just add the following to the http.conf file:

AddType application/x-ns-proxy-autoconfig .pac
Redirect /wpad.dat http://your-internal-web-server.corp.example.com/proxy.pac

  Correction: File extension is ".pac" (not ".cab").  Sorry for the brain fart.
