Hi All,

We need to extend a wireless LAN to the guest houses in a campus
environment. The last wired point is fiber to one side of the hostels.
>From the switch where the fiber is terminated, an ethernet cable has
been extended to an Access point which covers a only a limited number of
rooms partly because the room partitioning is solid walls.

We need to extend the Wireless LAN to another block of rooms which is
not feasible to run ethernet cable from where the fiber terminates
because of distance. We use Linksys APs. If we are to explore bridging,
any idea of a product that will work well across stone/solid wall
partitions or if an outdoor AP device, which brand/model has good
coverage and also through the stone partitions?

Thanks,

Lumumba.
