Cool... thanx. The battery on mine is starting to get a little short as
well, so I may just pick up a Logitech. It's for my media PC in the
theater, so I don't need to match any existing installations...

Perhaps I'll crack it open and see what sort of pixie dust is inside
it...

Going to Gyration (or your favorite reseller) and buying a new one is
the only way I have ever found to "fix" one that loses its motion. I've
had a couple that have lost one direction or the other over the years.
(I have used over a dozen Gyration devices over the years, so the
failure rate is not as high as it might appear.)

Before making a purchase you might want to check with Gyration regarding
future availability, I bought one a couple of weeks ago and noticed that
all of my resellers, as well as Gyration's web site, were showing a lot
of their products as "out of stock". When I asked the resellers about
it, they told me that they were showing the products as being EOL with
no new products showing to take their place. We went ahead and scrounged
up a mouse and keyboard so that they matched the standard we already had
in place with our other gyro mice in our conference rooms. If we had not
already had the existing Gyration devices in place we would have gone
with the Logitech gyro mouse as they seem to have a plan for long term
product life which Gyration currently is missing.

Ditto, used them for years. Great range also.

Any of you ever used these Air Mice? Looking for a good one, that can
actually be used at a desk 8 hours a day...

I love Logitech MX Line, so I am inclined to go with this one:
