quite a few, but what OS are you running for your desktop ... 
On an xp desktop of mine, I've been using MatrixY2K ( from around 2005 ) ...
I think the author's website is down, so unsupported, but I never needed any
support , available at Tucows :  http://www.tucows.com/preview/229257
 
and I've had some folks recommend Kompozer  http://kompozer.sourceforge.net/
 
 
 
neither is overly sophisticated nor complex to use, but has a sufficient #
of features to make them well worth using over notepad
