I haven't had Firefox load times be a problem. It's slow to load on first invocation, but that's true of all software. Hard disk is slower than RAM. Major portions of MSIE load with the Windows Explorer shell; maybe that's influencing your user experience? One way to address that would be to put Firefox in your "Startup" folder. But if you're happy with MSIE, stick with it. I'm a big believer in people using what works for them. > But I'm at a loss as to increased productivity using > one browser over another. Extensions make a huge difference. When MSIE was languishing for years without development effort, Firefox extensions let me do all sorts of really cool things. I guess MSIE has caught up in some respects now, but since I've already got Firefox working the way I like it, there's little incentive for me to switch. I do think MSIE fans should be Firefox fans too, since the only reason Microsoft started working on MSIE again was Firefox was eating their market share. > The Internet is getting more bogged down every > day and a browser can't change that! The speed of the JavaScript interpreter is the big thing these days. JavaScript is the thing that drives all this fancy AJAX stuff, so it makes a big difference. Firefox, Chrome, and MSIE are all going after that. -- Ben ~ Finally, powerful endpoint security that ISN'T a resource hog! ~ ~ <http://www.sunbeltsoftware.com/Business/VIPRE-Enterprise/> ~
