Windows Storage Server 2003. I've had this happen on 5 or so disks, some brand new. Tried different USB Docks/Enclosures. No matter what, the disk falls offline at some point. It's a backup device, so it get hammered with writes. Could I have a bad USB controller? Or could it be at the OS level?
