I just unpinned IE and added it back (by dragging the shortcut from the
start menu) and the jump list repopulated to what was there before.  I also
tried to recreate what you did and the jump list came back for that as well.
 I may have missed something in the second try, however, b/c I didn't see
the generic icon.  When I unpin IE the icon just goes away.
