Trouble, oh we got trouble,
Right here in River City!
With a capital "T"
That rhymes with "P"
And that stands for Pool,
That stands for pool.
We've surely got trouble!
Right here in River City,
Right here!
Gotta figure out a way
To keep the young ones moral after school!
Trouble, trouble, trouble, trouble, trouble...

If you have a preschooler, you probably know who I'm paraphrasing.

It's a mess, it's a mess, it's a big old messy mess. From the north to
the south and the east to the west what it is, is a big old messy mess.

I hate to sound like an apologist for the legal profession, but
sometimes the only thing that'll make people stop and think is the
threat of a large payout. If these idiots have to pay a lot of money,
the next time some school system thinks about activating the webcam
***WITHOUT REPORT OF A MISSING LAPTOP*** they might think twice if these
idiots have to pay a significant settlement... i.e. enough for all the
plaintiffs to go to a private 4 year college/university without having
to worry about the tuition!

Well, if you read the article, supposedly the students were not
allowed to take the laptops home, unless they had paid an insurance
fee. This kid hadn't paid the fee, yet took the laptop home. So - and
this is a guess - from the standpoint of the school, the laptop was
missing (because it was supposed to stay at school, since the kid
wasn't allowed to take it home). And when a laptop goes missing,
they're supposed to activate the camera and see if they can see
anything.

And then they took a screen capture of the kid eating some candy, and
claiming that it looked like he was popping pills and doing drugs. Yet
another aspect to this lovely story, which happened near where I live
in Philly ...
