Has anyone been able to get Acronis Backup & Recovery Advanced Workstation working. I've installed all the components of the licensed version a number of times on various machines without success. I've even tried various builds including the latest one without success.
The persistent problem across all the installations is that I get this pop up in the system tray: "acornis managed machine service in unavailable" (presumably it's the reason I can't connect to the agent on the test machine). Of course, the service is running. I found the problem reported in the Acronis forums a year ago, and Acronic support claiming that it would be fixed in "the next build' (presumably released some time ago). Next step: go throughout the painful process of dealing with Acronis support.
